Privacy policy

This policy explains how the Rieki app and the website rieki.app handle information. Rieki is published by Gajangi Technologies (“we”). Contact: [email protected].

1. The Rieki app

• Your data stays on your device. Rieki saves everything in a database on the phone or computer you use it on. We cannot see, access or recover it.
• No internet. The app works fully offline. The Android app is built without internet permission, so it cannot send anything over the internet. You can confirm this in your phone’s app settings.
• No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no automatic crash reports.
• Camera (optional): used only when you choose to scan a barcode or a QR code, or photograph a supplier’s bill. Photos are read on your device by Google ML Kit’s on-device text and barcode recognition, which is built into the app. Its usage-statistics reporting is switched off, and the app has no internet access in any case.
• Files you open (bill PDFs, photos, spreadsheets) are read on your device and are not copied anywhere else.
• Backups and sharing are your choice. When you back up, share a bill or export reports, Rieki creates a file and hands it to the app or place you choose (for example WhatsApp, email, Google Drive or a pen drive). From then on, that service’s own privacy policy applies.
• Local network sync (when available): devices you pair yourself exchange data directly over your own Wi-Fi. Nothing passes through our servers.

2. Paying for Rieki Pro

Rieki Pro is not on sale yet. When it is, payments in the Android app will be handled by Google Play, and payments on rieki.app by a payment provider such as Razorpay. To issue and check your licence we will then keep only what a purchase needs — your name, email address, order number and the licence’s expiry date — never your business data. This policy will be updated before Pro goes on sale.

3. The website rieki.app

• No cookies, no analytics scripts, no advertising and no third-party trackers. The pages contain no JavaScript.
• The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against attacks. Our web server keeps standard access logs for a short time for security and troubleshooting.

4. When you write to us

If you email us, we use your email address and what you send only to reply and to help you. If you send us a bill to improve Rieki’s bill reading, we use it only for that and delete it when we are done.

5. Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or share personal data. We do not receive your business data in the first place.

6. Children

Rieki is a business tool and is not directed at children.

7. Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us about any personal data we hold about you (for example your emails to us), and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to [email protected]. Your business data in the app is under your control alone: you can export it or delete it at any time by removing the app and its data.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. If a change ever affects what data leaves your device, the app will tell you first.
